Wield The Katana
Created by Genndy Tartakovsky in 2001, the show was inspired by the 1972 televised drama Kung Fu. Samurai Jack is an action-adventure cartoon television series revolving around Jack, a Japanese prince who wields a mystical katana and has the ability to cut through virtually anything. Handed down by his father to Jack, the katana was originally given to his father by three gods; Ra, Rama, and Odin so he could defeat and imprison Aku.
Aku (a tyrannical shape-shifting demon) sent Samurai Jack forward in time just before Jack could land the finishing blow in their epic battle, and Aku predicted that he could defeat Jack in the future after he had had many years to learn and prepare. Jack is sent forward in time to a dystopian future by Aku instead.
