Hunt Down Those Templars
Assassin's Creed was created by Patrice Désilets, Jade Raymond, and Corey May in 2007 with its first instalment in the video game franchise. Published by Ubisoft, you take control of Altaïr, a hooded assassin, given the task of eliminating nine Templars. Taking place during the Third Crusade in 1191, the plot follows the fictional history of real-world events.
As you dive deeper into the video game series, we get to see the millennia-old conflict unravel between the Assassins and the Templars. Taking players to different historical time periods through the use of the Animus (a virtual reality machine), players are introduced to the Crusades, the Renaissance, the American Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, the Viking era, Ancient Egypt, and many more.
Each game is centered around one or more fictional members of the Order of the Assassins, whose memories are portrayed from the Animus.
